Ozark native David Burt has captured forever the timeless beauty of the Ozarks, and in doing so takes viewers on a breath-taking journey through forests, along waterways, over rock formations, and across prairies.

Burt’s photographs offer a spectacular glimpse of the Ozark’s hidden treasures — what most people likely never will see in their lifetimes, but what was once a common sight throughout the 55,000 square-mile area of Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma known as the Ozarks.

Since his youth Burt has explored the region, and has been capturing the essence of it with a camera since 1978. He combines his keen artistic sense with his love of natural history in images that evoke both emotion and a deep sense of the unique and diverse qualities the Ozark landscapes possess.
